Black History Month Project
The 1st October marks the start of Black History Month. Throughout the month, we will be learning about people from Black history who have changed the world. In Year 2, we are focusing on black scientists who have made a difference in our lives
The first scientist we will be learning about is George Washington Carver, who was one the greatest inventors in American history and discovered over 300 uses for peanuts!
We want Year 2 children to get creative and create something in honour of George Washington Carver. For example, children can create a fact file, a 3-D model of all the things that he created or a poem.
Children can also create something linked Black History Month, and they can research an individual of their choice.
