At St Matthew's we use Jigsaw as our approach to teaching Relationships and Health Education. We have tailored the programme to meet the needs of our school whilst still fulfilling the statutory requirements of the Relationships and Health Education curriculum.

The Six Puzzles (Units of work)
There are six 'puzzles' in Jigsaw that are designed to progress in sequence from the start of each
academic year:
Term 1: Being Me In My World
Term 2: Celebrating Difference (including anti-bullying)
Term 3: Dreams and Goals
Term 4: Healthy Me
Term 5: Relationships
Term 6: Changing Me (including Sex Education in KS2)
The whole school focuses on the same unit at the same time using a spiralised curriculum, that means all children learn at an age appropriate time but they are building on what they already know.
