Reading

In Year 1 we love reading!  In both Year 1 classrooms we have exciting book areas full of lots of different books for us to read.  Reading is so important because we use it in every lesson.  

 

Home reading books are sent home with the children and changed once a week.  Please take the time to listen to your child read and sign their Reading Log.

 

There are also some great free ebooks available on Oxford Owl and you can choose the same colour band as your child's home reading book.  Parents you will need to register to access the free online books.  Click on the link below
