Religious Education

We are very proud of our Religious Education Curriculum at St Matthew's, which meets all of the requirements of The Sandwell Agreed Syllabus. The curriculum provides units of work related to Christian teaching and also the other major faiths represented within our community. Opportunities are provided through an active curriculum to learn about, and learn from different faiths, with children of all ages being able to think about life's big questions. Pupils are encouraged to draw on their understanding of their own faith and different faiths and to share their opinions respectfully with others. Staff modify the curriculum according to the needs of all learners and carefully consider specific groups and their interests.
