Alert: report of an incident in the Wednesbury Area

We have been notified of an incident late yesterday afternoon involving a speeding car driving through the Wednesbury area,  which involved shots being fired from the vehicle police claim.  It has been reported that the area around Wood Green Academy remains cordoned off this morning.

Alert: report of an incident in Smethwick

We have been notified of an incident that took place this morning (17 January 2024) in the Smethwick area. A white male aged between 30 – 40 with black hair approached children as they were on their way to school. They acted inappropriately towards the children and offered them money.

The police have been notified and are managing the incident.

Alert: report of a suspicious incident in the Tipton area

We have been notified by a Sandwell School that 2 suspicious white females entered the school today (17 January 2024) without permission. Students reported that they believe the females were recording the children on their phones during breaktime.

One woman was wearing a black coat, trousers and shoes (possibly trainers). The other was wearing black trousers, white trainers and a brown jacket. Both females had dark hair in ponytails.

The DSL and the Police have been notified.

Alert: report of a suspicious incident in the Oldbury area

We have been notified by a Sandwell School that at 3.13pm today (17 January 2024) within the local area, a tall male in his 40s or 50s wearing a beige coat attempted to make over-friendly conversation with students of the school.

The DSL and Head teacher have been informed and the police have been contacted.

Alert: report of an incident in the Oldbury Area

A report has been received of an incident that happened on Friday 8 December 2023 at approximately 8am.

A student reported that a middle-aged male wearing a black Puffa jacket and black joggers followed them whilst shouting at them in an aggressive tone.

The police have been notified.

Alert: report of an incident in the West Bromwich area

A report has been received of an incident that happened on Friday 8 December 2023.

A student reported that while on the way to school they felt a man touch their bag as they were waiting to cross the road at the junction of High Street and Bull, this caused the student to feel uncomfortable. Once the student was able to cross the road they ran away.

The student recalls seeing this man before.

Description: Approximately 5’9, grey beard and worn out clothes

Friday 20th October

Alert: report of an incident in the Great Barr area

A report has been received of an incident that happened yesterday (Thursday 19 October 2023) at approximately 8.15am.

A student was walking to school along the canal bridge between Templemore Road and Appleton Avenue, Great Barr. A man approached the student and asked for the student’s phone but the student did not have a phone with him. The man ‘patted him down’, the student showed him that all he had was a calculator then the man walked off. 

Description:  Thin white male, 19–20-years-old, 6’1”-6’2”, with a ‘goatee’ beard and brown hair and wearing a white hoodie.

The police have been notified.

Thursday 28th September

Alert: report of an incident in the Wednesbury area

A report has been received of an incident that happened this morning (Thursday 28 September 2023).

A male approached female students on the way to school, asking “if they wanted to go and vape with him”.

Description: Male, approximately 18-19 years old.

The police have been notified.

Wednesday 27th September 

Alert: report of an incident in the Oldbury area

A report has been received of an incident that happened outside Langley Library, Oldbury.

Three males on bikes tried to attack someone with a machete.

The police have been notified.

Thursday 21st September 

Alert: report of an incident in the Oldbury area

A report has been received of an incident that happened on Wednesday 20 September 2023 (8am) outside the Merrivale pub, Oldbury.

A student has reported she was asked to get into a white car with five males. She was then asked inappropriate questions and one male grabbed her arm.

The police have been notified.

Monday 18th September 2023

Alert: report of an incident in the Oldbury area

A report has been received of an incident that happened on Friday 15 September 2023 on Brandhall Road, Oldbury.

A student was approached on the way to school by a taxi driver and was asked if she wanted a lift.

Description: White male, bald with a beard.

The police have been notified.
