Date and time of incident:  Wednesday 23 September 2020 at approximately 7.55am

Location: Perry's Park Pitfields Close

 

A report has been received that a student was approached by five males who were riding scooters. The student who was the phone was asked if he was on the phone to the police, he said no and made his way to school. The student has reported that the males were acting suspiciously.

 

Description: five white males, all approximately 6 foot, one was wearing a blue tracksuit and one wearing a grey tracksuit. All males were wearing masks.

 

Police have been notified.

Alert in the Oldbury area

 

This morning [Monday 21 September 2020] a student has reported that he was followed on the way to school along the Wolverhampton Road.

 

Description: male, had brown hair and wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit.

Alert: report of an incident in the Smethwick area

 

Friday 6 March 2020

 

A student was assaulted at a bus stop this morning at 7.30am on Smethwick High Street.

 

The student was approached by four males who asked where he lived and they preceded to ask for his phone and belongings. The student declined and he was then assaulted. Another student intervened to resolve the matter and he was also assaulted.

 

Description: four black males, approximate age 17‑18.

 

The police have been notified.

Tuesday 3 March 2020 at 3.45pm on Moat Road a man was approaching students claiming to know their parents and asking their names.

Report of an incident in the Oldbury area

 

Friday 14 February 2020 – 8.30am

 

A pupil was waiting at the bottom of the drive to Perryfields High School when a car pulled up on the other side of the road, with a man and woman inside. They were both saying “come here” and signalling with their hands.  

 

The man got out of the car and followed the pupil through the alleyway near to the main entrance of the school. The pupil ran up to the reception and the man stopped when he saw a member of staff and returned to his car.

 

Description: Male with light skin, late forties/early fifties, with black hair and stubble on his face. Female with light skin, mid‑forties, with black hair. Black car, make and model unknown.

 

The police have been notified.

 

Report of an incident in the West Bromwich area

 

Friday 14 February 2020

 

Four pupils who were walking along Dawes Avenue this morning, on their way to school, were approached by a man who told them to hurry up to school. He then asked where they all lived and threatened to take away their phones. The man got into his car and drove away.

 

Description: Asian male, in his thirties, driving a silver BMW.

Alert: report of an incident in the Rowley Regis area

On Tuesday 28 January 2020 at 5.30pm a student was walking home from St Michael’s Church of England High School and was followed by a male, near Rowley Hall Primary School.

 

Description: mixed race, late 20’s‑30’s, balding, average height, big build and wearing a black puffer jacket, black trousers and white trainers.

On Monday 27 January 2020 at approximate 3.35pm at the bus stop in Church Road/Hanover Road, Rowley Regis, a man approached a female member of staff. He asked her for the time even though he had his phone in his hand. When she began to walk he away, she noticed him following her in the distance.

 

Description: male, small build, 30s‑40s, wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.

Date and time of incident: Friday 25 October 2019 at 8.55am

Location: Jubilee Street, West Bromwich

 

The student was walking down Jubilee Street in the direction of the Sandwell Community School (West Bromwich campus) when a car pulled up next to her with two men inside.

 

The passenger shouted to her to "get in" - the student ignored him and carried on walking. The men continued to shout, then they drove away.

 

Description: The driver was an Asian male with brown eyes and a “slit” in his eyebrow, black hair and a skin‑fade hair cut [the top was longer, combed up and back]. He was of slim build, with "broad shoulders”. The passenger was an Asian male, approximately mid to late late 20s. The car was described as a small white three‑door car with tinted windows and a “wide bumper”: make and model unknown.

 

The police have been informed.

Last night [Tuesday 18 June 2019] a student was waiting for a bus outside the BMW garage on the Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury, when he was approached by a male who asked why he was “looking at his gf”. The man got angry and put on gloves and a balaclava, and threatened to stab the student.

 

The student got on a bus and went home.

 

Description: black male, approximately 18/19 years old and wearing a black tracksuit.

 

The police have been notified.

Date of incident: Tuesday 14 May 2019

Location: Old Park Road, Wednesbury

 

A parent has reported seeing a man standing outside the school gates on Old Park Road on Tuesday 14 May. The man did not collect anyone, got in his car and drove up and down Old Park Road, stopping and starting, and then quickly drove away. The parent thought this was strange so followed the car. The car drove slowly past Wood Green Junior School, then off towards Walsall.

 

The parent has reported the incident to the police.

Location: Spon Lane and Boulton Road, West Bromwich

 

On Tuesday 21 May 2019 a parent was walking with her child along Spon Lane and Boulton Road, West Bromwich when a man started to follow. He continued to follow them to the pedestrian crossing on Trinity Road. The parent met a friend across the road and the man walked away in the opposite direction towards the church.

 

Description: Asian male, aged 30 to 40, around 6ft tall, well-built and wearing dark navy jeans, black jacket a brown cap.

 

The parent has reported the incident to the police.

Three Year 7 students have reported that on Wednesday 15 May 2019 a man was taking pictures of them while they were walking on the road next to B&Q car park next to Gallagher Retail Park.

 

Description: white male, approximately 50/60 years old, wearing a blue check shirt, blue joggers and a hat.

 

The police have been informed.

An incident occurred yesterday, 15 May 2019. A pupil has reported being followed by a man in his forties, from the park on Gads Lane, West Bromwich. The incident occurred between 8.15am and 8.30am.

A parent has reported that on Sunday 12 May 2019, at around 11.30am, as his two children (aged 6 and 7) were walking up Hamstead Road ahead of him, a white transit van pulled over towards the children. When the parent shouted to the children the van drove off. There were at least two people in the van.

Date:   14 May 2019 at 8.15am

Location:  Wood Green Stores, Wednesbury

 

Year 8 boy was dropped off at the stores by his mum. She noticed a man standing there and he appeared to wait for him to walk past him then started following him. Mum turned the car round and drove back and the man had noticed and quickly walked off. Mum called her son and he said that the man had not spoken to him.

 

Description: Asian male, in his 40’s, unkempt appearance.
