Welcome to St Matthew's Church of England Primary School.

Dear Parents and Carers, 

Welcome to St Matthew’s C of E Primary School.  We are very proud of our school, which has served the local community for well over 100 years.

Although we are housed over two sites, we pride ourselves on knowing our children.  We work in close partnership with families and believe that our pupils do their best when home and school are supportive of each other.  

Our expectations of ourselves and each other are high.  At St Matthew’s we work hard to ensure that every child has the opportunity to fulfil their potential and enjoy success.  We nurture our pupils so they become happy and confident individuals.  The experiences we provide enrich our children’s learning and equip them with skills and knowledge that will endure beyond their time at St Matthew’s.  

As a Church of England Primary School we have close ties to our parish Church.  We teach our children a broad and balanced RE curriculum, focusing on respect and understanding for all faiths.
