Virtual Phonic Lessons

To support your child's phonics and reading here are some videos to share with your child. These videos are lessons, which means that you don't have to teach them, just play them. Your child is already accessing The Read, Write Inc Phonics Programme in school and these videos will help them to revise the sounds that they are already learning.

 

Your child's phonic group will be written in their Reading Journals so that you know which lessons to share with your child. However, presently we are revising all sounds, especially from Set 2 to ensure that children are secure in their phonic knowledge ready for the Statutory Phonics Test at the end of this month. 

 

The lessons (1 lesson per day) will remain live for ten days and will not be able to be accessed after that. New lessons (sounds or words to learn) will replace these.

 

This is a super resource which has been proven to accelerate progress in word reading and fluency and it would be wonderful if you could share one sound per day, or the Word Time Words.
