Thank you to all of the parents that came to year 5's inspire session on Reading. If you were unable to make it, the materials we used are here for you to take a look at. Reading is such an important part of home learning and we appreciate the time you take to read with your child.  

These are some of the materials used in the inspire session:

  • Reading at home For ideas on how to encourage your child to read at home, there are many ideas on this website!
  • World Book Day! For more ideas on activities to complete with your children at home, relating to reading, this website has a wealth of ideas. It includes texts that would be appropriate for your child's year group and activities with these.
  • Ideas for books! For more ideas on books to read with your child, use this website to find age appropriate books, books relating to certain topics and popular reads!
