Year 6

Hello and welcome to our Year 6 page. We will be filling this page with exciting class news, pictures of things we have done and much more. We hope you enjoy looking at all the learning we do!

Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday. We will be going swimming in the Summer Term.
Our spelling day is Thursday. Spellings will be given out and the previous week's tested each Thursday.
Home learning will also be given out each Friday. It is due to be handed back in on the following Wednesday.
Year 6 SATs:
- Monday 11th May - Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling
- Tuesday 12th May - Reading
- Wednesday 13th May - Maths Paper 1 (Arithmetic test) and Maths Paper 2 (Reasoning)
- Thursday 14th May - Maths Paper 3 (Reasoning)

Inspire Workshop

This term, our workshop will be linked to Reading on Tuesday 14th October 2025 at 09:15. Please join us for ideas on how to improve your child's reading and comprehension.

Parents Evening

Parents evening will be on Monday 20th October 2025. Appointment times will be sent out closer to the date.

Autumn 1:

Wednesday 3rd September - Autumn 1 term starts, children return to school

Tuesday 14th October - INSPIRE workshop 9.00am

Wednesday 17th September - Meet the Teacher 3.30pm

Tuesday 20th October - Parents evening

Thursday 23rd October - Break up for October half-term

Friday 24th October - INSET day (school closed to pupils)

Autumn 2:

Monday 3rd November - Autumn 2 term starts, children return to school

Friday 19th December - KS2 Carol Concert

Friday 19th December - Break up for Christmas holidays (1pm)
