The PE and Sport Premium is a government grant provided to primary schools in England to improve the quality and sustainability of physical education (PE), sports, and physical activity for pupils. This funding aims to promote healthy, active lifestyles, improve pupils' health and wellbeing, and boost attainment by funding sustainable improvements to PE provision and extracurricular opportunities. At St Matthew's, we use the premium to make improvements that will benefit pupils in the long term.
