At St. Matthew's, we believe that any education we provide should promote children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. We respect and value the fantastic multi-cultural diversity of our school community and we always aim to foster harmony and understanding in all that we do. Therefore, our PSHE lessons strive to take into account the cultural backgrounds of all pupils and the views of their parents, as well as covering the statutory guidance set out by the Department for Education. The lessons we deliver support our wider ethos of promoting pupil well-being and developing their resilience and character throughout their time with us. Overall, we want our pupils to be happy, successful and valued members of society and our PSHE lessons are integral to these outcomes being achieved.
