Spring 1: Traditional Tales.

Math: 

In Maths, we will be exploring numbers to 10 in depth. This includes counting, ordering numbers and recognising numbers. In addition to this, the children will be leering about doubling and halving as well as exploring the properties of some 3D shapes. 

Literacy: 

The children will be looking at the following key texts. Click on the link to listen to each story.  

• Hansel and Gretel- Hansel and Gretel story for children | Bedtime Stories and Fairy Tales for Kids
• The Three Little Pigs- The Three Little Pigs
• The Three Billy Goats Gruff- The Three Billy Goats Gruff

In Drawing Club, the children will explore these stories in depth, exploring the characters and the setting. They will apply their Phonics Skills to write about their drawings.

Phonics:

In Phonics, the children will continue to build on their awareness of sounds and will begin to apply some of these sounds in their writing. Children will continue to practice blending sounds together to read words.
