At St Matthew's, our D&T teaching and learning follows the National Curriculum Programme of Study for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. 

This document outlines our approach to teaching D&T at St Matthew's in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 and in Key Stage 2. Our curriculum is structured around the National Curriculum Programme of Study and is designed to promote the progressive development of knowledge, skills and creativity. Teaching and learning is organised into five strands: Structures (yellow), mechanisms (purple), textiles (blue), control (pink), food and nutrition (green).
